Move over Johnny Appleseed! Planting "Seeds of Innovation" across the Region!

Woodlands Communications is excited during our 10th anniversary to share with you a new brand showing a tree inside a regular light bulb that is morphing into a modern light bulb.

Here at Bryn Awelon Farm where we grow hundreds of American Walnut Trees, we hope our new logo will remind our friends that Woodlands is dedicated to helping Northwest Indiana grow good ideas into great ideas.

For nearly 25 years, I have helped build a better region working with leaders and organizations to implement ideas and initiatives. A decade ago, I launched Woodlands Communications Group based at the family farm to encourage even more innovative ideas across Lake, Porter and LaPorte Counties, and more recently, in our 7-county region of Indiana.

Now, like perhaps many of you, I am working on coming into the 21st century by adopting modern technology in my business. So if you go to my web page, you will see "work in progress."

Like Johnny Appleseed of the past, I want to plant "seeds." Instead of just individual trees, I want to plant "seeds of innovation" so that one day, Northwest Indiana is celebrated as a place of practical innovation, a model for the Midwest.

My mission is to help not just start-ups, but especially established organizations transition to innovative cultures. If we are to make Northwest Indiana more competitive in the 21st century, then we need "all hands on deck." Perhaps the greatest opportunities for growth are from existing organizations.

So if you know of companies or organizations looking to launch innovative cultures and path-breaking ideas, please ask them to go to http://www.plantinginnovation.com/. Thank you for your friendship and support over the years!
